Pierre was "presently living in the seigneurie of Sault a la Puce". The lease was for three years beginning on All Saints Day. The mill that Pierre would operate was a water mill "making wheat flour furnishing all the utensils which belonged to the Seigneur Count located on the said island of Saint-Laurent in the parish of Sainte-Famille with the house and site which he had acquired from the seller Lagrange". The rent for the three year lease was two hundred fifty minots of "French wheat and genuine" per year.
