On 27 October 1665 the company was building a road from Fort Sainte-Therese to the head of Lake Champlain. They returned to Quebec for the winter. In the spring of 1666 the company returned to Lake Champlain to build Fort Sainte-Anne. The company wintered at the fort.

In September 1667, the company attacked the Mohawks and Iroquois. After this campaign the Iroquois sued for peace and the regiment was disbanded. The soldiers could return to France or elect to stay. Isacc Pasquier dit Lavallee decided to stay.
