Nadeau, 89, of 1712 7th St., prominet Menominee banker, died at 8:05 this morning in Menominee County Lloyd Hospital where he had been a patient for one week. Mr. Nadeau, retured president and honorary Chariman of the Board of the Commerical Bank, was born Feb, 17, 1886, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nadeau, well known early day residents of Nadeau. He attended Nadeau schools and Ferris Institute and the University of Michigan Law School. He was admitted to practice law before the Michigan Supreme Court in 1909. He practiced law in Nadeau for a short time turning to banking in 1912. In 1917 he joined the Commerical Bank where he served as president for 35 years. He was married to the former Marion Mason on Aug. 29, 1913 in Niagara, Wis. Mr. Nadeau attended First Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Menominee Blue Lodge F&AM, the Eastern Star, Knights of Pythias, Riverside Country Club, Boy Scout Council and Board of Public Works. He was active in developing the Menominee Farm Loan Assoication and was also active in developing the Upper Peninsula Banking Association and in state banking affairs. He was a member of the Menominee Rotary Club and was a past president and a member of the Hopital Board for 16 years. Surviving Mr. Nadeau are his widow; one son, Dr. John H. Nadeau of San Mateo, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. A. H. Steiner of San Jose, Calif.; Miss Margaret Nadeau of Madison, Mrs. Jane Klungnes of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Mrs. Edward Scott of Jacksonville, Ill; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Kell Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. J. Robert Ranck officating.
