    Jacques was abandoned by his mother after the marriage between Pierre and Mathurine was annulled in 1663. The boy was placed in the care of his godfather Jacques Boivin. Pierre again took charge of Jacques after his marriage to Marie d'Aulonne in 1668. In 1669, Pierre entrusted the care of Jacques to his neighbor in the fief of Saint-Jean, Jean Dubuc, "namely from today (9 January) until he reached the age of nineteen".
    After leaving the home of Jean Dubuc, Jacques became involved in the fur trade.

    Jacques married Perrine Lepelle on 22 Jan 1690/91 in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. Perrine and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
