Employment 4 Oct 1642 Fort St. Louis, Quebec, Canada [4] - Antoine and Francoise were hired by Guillaume Couillard as domestique servants. A contract was drawn up by notary Martial Piraube. They were paid 144 livres and given board. Neither spouse could sign the contract but made their marks. Present was Guillaume Tronquet.
Land 14 Feb 1646/47 Fort St. Louis, Quebec, Canada [4] - Antoine was given a concession of a few arpents that was located on the border of the road that linked Quebec and Cap-Rouge. The land consisted of two plots situated in the neighborhood of Quebec. The first, three arpents, two perches and nine feet, was located between the Grande-Allee and the river, extending as far as the cliff. The second, three arpents of frontage to a depth of six arpents, was between the seigneurie Saint-Jean and the Upper-Town on the Grande-Allee. This act was signed by notary Henry Bancheron.
Land Bef 1648 [4] - Antoine obtained a plot in Upper-Town which he must have used to practice his trade of master mason. This plot consisted of nine toises in width (54feet) on Rue Saint-Louis, to a depth of thirty-nine toises (234 feet) running as far as the road from Mont-Carmel, between the lots of Charles Palentin de Lapointe and Jean Lemelin dit Tourangeau.
Land 19 Oct 1663 [4] - Antoine divided his land between his sons-in-law. Jean Lemelin, Jacques Hedouin and Louise Fontaine recieved six arpents each.
Land Between 1665 and 1668 Sillery, Quebec, Canada [4] - Listed in inventory drawn up after Antoine's death were lands he owned in Sillery. The land consisted of thirty arpents, two of them frontage, and was assigned in 1665.

The list of property included twelve minots of wheat found in the attic of the house, three oxen, one milk cow, a year-old bull, a plow with its plowshare and chain, a sled and chain, fifteen livres and five sols in silver, ten hens and one rooster, etc.
Legal Matter 6 Sep 1669 [4] - From the property of Antoine, furnishing and animals, notary Becquet declared to have deposited 761 livres, 19 sols and 6 deniers to the estate. Jacques Hedouin, agent for widow Francoise, was given guardianship of the minor children, received monies and all fees were paid.

Francois Derre and Nicolas Pivert".

Antoine Brassard, macon, ne 1609, Normandie, epouse a Quebec, 14 Jan 1637, Francoise Mery, nee 1621, demeurant dans a maison de la Grande-Allee, a present rue Saint Louis, leur descendance a ete, pendant plus d'un siecle, tres nombreuse a Quebec, on la retrouve dans les gouvernments des Trois-Rivieres et de Montreal, sous les noms de Brassard et Deschenaux; elle a Fourni plusiers religieuses et six pretres, dont un est le fondateur du seminarie de Nicolet. M. Freland, de qui nous empruntons ces notes, ajoute que Deschenaux, employe Longtemps dans les bureaux des intendants Hocquart et Bigot, etait de cette famille; c'est le meme qui, apres 1760, se trouvant a la tete fortune considerable, acheta plusierus seigneuries. Son fils fut juge aux Trois-Rivieres.
