    • This marriage contract was the first of its kind in Canada. Anne was 10 1/2 years old. A stipulation was put into the contract that stated that Anne would continue to live at home with her parents until she was thirteen years old. The wedding ceremony took place when she was eleven years old and there was a two year wait.
