    • Notary Louis Chambalon drew up the contract. Rene said his father was Sieur Pierre Duchesneau, an ex-soldier with the rank of Sergeant-Royal. Clement Guerin and Perrine Corrier agreed to give their daughter a "cow of four years and a pig of one year". Clement also agreed to house and feed the couple for six months. Rene was given one arpent of land on Guerin's concession that he could cultivate for his own for four years, if he desired. Rene would give Jeanne 300 livres for her dowry.
