Les futures expoux seront separes de biens, conformement aux dispositions des articles 1422 et suivants du code civil: en consequence la future epouse aura la jouissance libre de ses revenus, elle pourra sur ses simples quittances toucher et percevoir toutes sommes d'argent a elle dues, et elle pourra en un mot faire tous les actes de la plus entiere administration.
Les futurs epoux ne seront pas tenus des dettes l'un de l'autre faites et creees avant ou pendant la duree du present furtur mariage.
Le futur epoux sera seul tenu aux frais et depenses du present futur mariage, la future epouse y renoncant tant pour elle-meme que pour les enfants qui pourraient naitre du present futur mariage.
En consideration du present futur mariage et aussi en consideration de la renonciation ci-dessus, le futur epoux fait donation a la future epouse, acceptant, d'une somme de trois mille dollars ($3,000.00), laquelle somme sera payee par le futur epoux a la future epouse au fur et a mesure que besoin sera, et devra etre employee exclusivement a l'achat de meubles et effets de menage devant servir a garnir le domicle conjugal, lesquels meubles et effets de menage seront insaisissables bien que cessibles.
Il est toutefois expressement convenu que si la future epouse meurt avant le futur epoux, les meubles et effets de menage qui auront ete acquis a meme le montant de trois mille dollars qui fait l'objet de la donation ci-dessus, redeviendront par le fait meme la propriete absolue du futur epoux.
En outre, en consideration du present futur mariage et de la renonciation ci-dessus, le furtur epoux transporte a la furture epouse, acceptant, a titre de gain de survie, les benefices d'une police d'assurance au montant de mille dollars que le futur epoux a fait emettre sur sa vie pur la compagnie d'assurance dite "Metropolitan Life Insurance Company": en consequence le futur epoux revoque expressement par les presentes toute imputation anterieure des benefices de cette dite police d'assurance, et il s'engage a faire effectuer et accepter par la dite compagnie d'assurance, aussitot que possible apres la celebration du present futur mariage, tous transports des benefices de la dite police d'assurance dans le sens de la donation ci-dessus, et il s'engage en outre a maintenir cette dite police d'assurance constamment en vigueur en en payant regulierement les primes.
Enfin il est expressement convenu que, advenant le deces de la future epouse apres le futur epoux ou son convolen secondes noces sans qu'il y ait d'enfant issu du present futur mariage, les meubles et effets de menage qui auront ete acquis a meme la somme de trois mille dollars qui fait.

Mr. Leo Lirette, mechanic, residing in Highland Park, in the state of Michigan, one of the United States of America, son major of the legitimate marriage of Mr. Olivier Lirette, carpenter, of the city of Montreal, with Dame Anna Lavallee, stipulating for himself,
Firstly:
And Miss Emilia Lemmelin, of the city of Montreal, a major daughter of the legitimate marriage of Mr. Narcisse Lemmelin, mechanic, of the same place, with Dame Delina Heroux, stipulating for herself.
On the other hand.
Which have decided as follows the civil conventions of the planned marriage between them, namely:
The future expoux will be separated from property, in accordance with the provisions of articles 1422 and following of the civil code: consequently, the future wife will have the free enjoyment of her income, she will be able on her simple receipts to touch and collect all sums of money due to her. and in a word it will be able to do all the acts of the most complete administration.
The future spouses will not be held liable for each other's debts created before or during the duration of this marriage.
The future bridegroom will be the only one held at the expense and expenses of the present future marriage, the future wife giving up so much for herself as for the children who could be born of the present future marriage.
In consideration of the present future marriage and also in consideration of the above waiver, the future spouse makes a donation to the future bride, accepting, of a sum of three thousand dollars ($ 3,000.00), which sum will be paid by the future spouse to the future wife as and when necessary shall be and shall be used exclusively for the purchase of furniture and household effects to be used to furnish the matrimonial property, which furniture and household effects shall be exempt from seizure, although transferable.
However, it is expressly agreed that if the future wife dies before the bridegroom, the furniture and household effects which will have been acquired from the amount of three thousand dollars which is the object of the donation above, will in fact become even the absolute property of the future spouse.
In addition, in consideration of the present future marriage and the above waiver, the deceased spouse shall be transported to the spouse, accepting, as a survival benefit, the benefits of an insurance policy in the amount of one thousand dollars. the future spouse has made the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company insure his pure life: consequently, the future spouse expressly revokes by the present all previous imputation of the profits of this insurance policy, and he undertakes to have the said insurance company carry out and accept, as soon as possible after the celebration of the present future marriage, all transportation of the benefits of the said insurance policy in the sense of the donation above, and he furthermore undertakes to maintain this so-called insurance policy in force by regularly paying the premiums.
Finally, it is expressly agreed that, in the event of the death of the future wife after the future spouse or his second marriage, without there being any child born of the present future marriage, the furniture and household effects which will have been acquired even the sum of three thousand dollars that makes.
