    • Notary Audouart drew up the marriage contract between Noel and Marie Madeleine Racine. Pierre Simard gave his son all his property, house, barn, animals and furniture. He would retain half of it for use during his lifetime. Noel agreed to lend his sister Suzanne 300 livres if she came "to live in this country". Etienne Racine gave 119 livres worth of gifts to Madeleine that included 18 minots of wheat, 2 oxen, a cow and various household goods. Pierre made his mark and Noel signed to contract.
