    • (Research):Our French-Canadian Ancestors, Vol. XI, pages 31-41

States Marie Madeleine Duchesne, who married Joseph Bonneau, was not the same person who married Nicolas Verieul or Veilleux. The author suggests that the 7th child of Pierre Duchesne and Catherine Rivet married Nicolas Verieul or Veilleux.
I believe that to be incorrect.

Joseph Bonneau Labecasse, spouse of Marie Duchesne, died 30 November 1701 at St-Francois, I.O. PRDH #37877

Death of Marie Duchesne, 85 years, spouse of Nicolas Verieul occured on 9 May 1750 and she was buried on 10 May 1750. (She would have been born in 1665 which is very close to Marie Madeleine; Marie would have only been 73 years old.)
      PRDH #238735

Marriage of Jean Bonneau to Elisabeth Gagne on 28 November 1708 at St-Francois, I.O. lists Jean's father as Joseph Boneaux and step-father as Nicolas Verieur, who was present at the ceremony. PRDH #37754

At the second marriage of son Augustin Verieul/Veilleux to Francoise Quirion on 20 aug 1742 at St-Joachim, present was Augustin Labecasse, brother of Augustin Verieul. PRDH #144880
