    Sebastien received two arpents of frontage by forty in depth from Father Claud-Jean Allouez, the Jesuit Superior. He must make a home on the property and would be allowed to hunt and fish on the land. The rent was two bushels of wheat, two deniers and a capon, to be paid each Feast of Saint-Martin or 11 November.

    Sebastien leased the house and land of Louis Lefebvre dit Lagroix for four years. Lefevbre would include two beasts, a cow and male calf. Sebastien had to clear an arpent of land each year and would be paid forty-five livres for labor. The rent was 20 minots of French wheat and 5 minots of Indian corn to be paid each year.

    Quentin Moral, partial seigneur of Abre-a-la-Croix, ceded two properties to Sebastien. Each measured two arpents by forty. He must build a house and had to right to hunt and fish. Payment of a bushel of French wheat, two live capons and four deniers were to be paid each year.

    Notary Jean Cusson drew up a inventory of Sebastien's property. It described their house as measuring 25 by 16 feet, covered with straw, with framework?i? a la gaspande?/i?. At the end of the house was a two room partition with a chimney made of mud. Sebastien had a fifty foot barn and a new stable. He also had another smaller, older, straw-covered house. The upstairs was made of half pine planks and the other half of covered beams. All the buildings were in good condition.
    His assets were estimated to be worth 2,321 livres and 15 sols. His debts were 639 livres and 14 sols.
