    It is unknown when Pierre enlisted in the military. It is known that he was part of the 200 soldiers that left France to come to Canada in April of 1665. They arrived in Quebec on the 18th and 19th of June. Pierre was part of the four companies that went to the falls of the Richelieu River to build Fort Chambly. Pierre remained there until the demobilization of the regiment in 1668. He was a sergeant of the infantry.

    He came to Canada as a sergeant with the Chambly Company of the Carignan Regiment. When was discharged he was an infantry captain.
