VALLIERE - May 5, 1899, at Mt. Clemens, Mich., Adelaide, beloved wife of Augustus Valliere, age 77 years. Funeral from son's residence, 234 Montcalm street east at 8:30, and from St. Joachim's church at 9.

Mrs. Augustus Valliere,
Well-known Detroit Woman Died in Mt. Clemens.

Mrs. Augustus Valliere, who was a resident of Detroit for more than half a century, died yesterday at her home in Mt. Clemens, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Valliere, the daughter of Adelaide Gagnon, was born near Quebec, nearly 78 years ago. She came to Detroit with her parents at an early age. Fifty-seven years ago she was united in marriage with Mr. Valliere, who kept the Montreal hotel in this city, for about twenty-two years. Three years since she took up her residence with her husband in Mt. Clemens, where her two daughters reside.
The members of the family surviving Mrs. Valliere are Mr. Valliere and children; Augustus, Jr., and John B., of Detroit, and Mrs. Edmund Peltier and Mrs. Louis Peltier, of Mt. Clemens.
The funeral will take place from St. Joachims's church Monday morning, the first services taking place at the residence of John B. Valliere, 234 Montcalm street east. Mrs. Valliere was at one time a member of the old St. Anne's church and of St. Joachim's church.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Valliere Were Married Fifty Years Ago.

The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Valliere, of 410 Woodbridge street east, was celebrated yesterday at St. Joachim's church, Rev. Fr. Meinard administering the blessing of the church and celebrating high mass in honor of the happy event. The aged couple were married fifty years ago in St. Anne's church, and a remarkable and happy feature of the celebration yesterday was the presence at the altar of Louis Hubert, who had been best man on that occasion, together with the bridesmaid as well. Thirteen children have blessed the union, some of whom have died. The family and friends presented the couple with a gold clock as a memento of the happy occassion, and a wedding dinner was served at the family home. The living children of the couple who were present yesterday are George Valliere, of Lake Linden, Mich.; Mrs. Joseph Asseline, Mrs. Frank Asseline, and Henry Valliere, of Detroit.

Mrs. Monique Valliere Came Here When 7 Years Old, From Quebec.

Funeral services over the body of Mrs. Monique Valliere, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Asselin, 488 Clinto street, will be held Monday morning at St. Joachim's Catholic church. Interment will be in Mt. Elliott.
Mrs. Valliere, who was 85 years old, had been a resident of Detroit for 78 years, coming when a child from Bay St. Paul, Quebec. Shortly after her marriage to the late Edward Valliere, she accompanied her husband to the Michigan copper country, where for 18 months she was the only white woment in the settlement. The voyage back to the Soo was made in a frail Indian boat.
Before the husband's death in 1895 the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Thirteen children, all but four now dead, were born to Mrs. Valliere, George of Hubbell, Mich.; Mrs. Joseph Asselin, Mrs. Peter Asselin and Henry, of Detroit, survive.

VALLIERE - September 23, Clarence J., beloved son of John B. and Julia Valliere, aged 21 years. Funeral from parents residence, 497 Fort street east, Tuesday at 8 o'clock and 8:30 at St. Joachim's church.

Naval Reserve's Funeral.

The funeral of Clarence J. Valliere was held from his late home, 497 Fort street east, and from St. Joachim's church Tuesday.
The pallbearers were composed of his fellow comrades, of the Detroit Naval Reserves, Edw. R. Gaulin, J. D. Richardson, P.K. Dwyer, Harry Tuke, Jas. Keenan and Wm. Dubelman, who also acted as escorts. They were preceded by a squard of Naval Reserves.

HENRY (IRISH), Beloved husband of Martha; dear brother of Mrs. Mildred Stark, Mrs. Mabel Daoust and George. Fneral Tuesday, 8:45 a.m., from Geo. F. Killeen Funeral Home, 9555 Chalmers, N. of Ford X-way, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 9:30 a.m. Rosary Monday, 8:00 p.m. Burial Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

HENRY VALLIERE -
A spot welder for the Budd Co. for 20 years until his retirement three years ago, Mr. Valliere died Saturday in his home at 2821 Manchester, Harper Woods. He was 60.
Mr. Valliere was born at Dollar Bay in the Upper Peninsula and lived in the Detroit area for the last 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Martha, two sisters and a brother.
Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Monday in the Killeen Funeral Home, 9555 Chalmers. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Harper and Bournemouth.
