Abram Skutt, 85, Life Resident of County
Abram L. Skutt, 85, of Rush township, a life-long resident of Shiawassee County, died in his home at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday of complications of old age. For the past 10 years, Mr. Skutt has been an invalid and had been confined to a wheel chair most of that time. During the past week, his condition had been critical.
Services will he held from Knapp & Smith's Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. William Engle, of Carland, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Skutt was born in Middlebury township on April 15, 1855, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Skutt, Sr. At the age of 19 years, however, he moved into Rush township and had since lived in the farm home in which he died yesterday.
He was married on November 11, 1883, to Miss Katie C. White, who died in 1925.
Surviving are one son, Milo J. Skutt, who resides in his father's home; a daughter, Mrs. Ollie Crane, also of Rush township; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and on brother, L. W. Skutt, of Elsie.
