    History:
He left Quebec for Montreal where he became a merchant on rue Saint-Paul. Pierre suffered an illness of the lungs and he received care from the surgeon Dominique Thaumur, Sieur de LaSource. His condition worsened. Through Paul Lemoine, Sieur de Maricourt, he requested services of an Iroquois nurse, Marie Chambly. After a month and a half, he died on 12 feb 1702. Pierre promised to dress the Amerindian woman in the French style from head to toe. Marie Chambly pleaded her case before the court and won.
