Jeanne Lecoq, wife of Moreau, filed a complaint and Rene was put into the royal jail. Rene stated that Moreau had bit him on the leg. But the Council ordered Rene to pay a fine of 20 sols to the King, 20 livres in damages to Moreau, and 6 livres to cover the hospital, doctor, and court costs.
