Additonal information |
28 Aug 1646 [3] |
- Father Jerome Lalemant wrote in the book of chronicles of his community:
"On 28 (August 1646) I left alone in a canoe to go to T.-R. I brought with me two men and a child in a small boat. One of the men was the son of Globoteur, named Guillaume Pelletier, pioneer, longsawyer, carpenter, and coal merchant. Suddenly he became a donne; however we promised his parents one hundred francs for this first year, and we did not leave out the new clothes".
This tells us that Guillaume had three trades. The nickname of "globoteur", friend of the goblet, makes it understood that he was jolly and did not refuse a glass of wine.
