- Barbara JoAnne Pelletier - SAVANNAH - JoAnne Pelletier, 75, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Shadow Moss Plantation under the care of Hospice Savannah Inc. JoAnne was born in Savannah on September 25, 1932 to the late Willie Freeman and Louise Graham Freeman Keller. She worked at the Information Desk for the City of Savannah and was Dr. James C. Metts, Jr's. Secretary. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart. JoAnne will be lovingly remembered for her comical antics and her ability to bring laughter to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Julius V. Keller; fiancee, Frank F. Traub, Jr.; and aunt, Dorothy Bell.
She is survived by a son, Charles Michael Pelletier of Savannah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki P. and Kirk Stanford and Angela P. and Jimmy Weeks all of Savannah; grandchildren, Jennifer Starkey, Jason Pelletier, Daniel Pelletier, Jaime Perdue and Jordan Weeks; great grandchildren, Savannah Browning, Sidney Browning, and Lincoln James Scott Perdue; and cousin Dottie Dauphinee and husband David as well as their children Donna, Ian, and Dustin Dauphinee.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Hospice Savannah and Shadow Moss Plantation for all the tender loving care given.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:00 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church. Active pallbearers will be Tony Stanford, Jerry Weeks, Ian Dauphinee, Dustin Dauphinee, Jason Pelletier and Daniel Pelletier. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, American Cancer Society or Shadow Moss Plantation.
