    • At the home of Toussaint Giroux, Jean with notary Michel Filion, signed a contract to sell his 2 arpents of frontage land. The property included "a small house of stone, wood trimmed, with a stable at the end". Raphael Giroux agreed to pay 500 livres tournois in three installments. The buyer would also provide "four days of hauling with four oxen for the clear sowing and a man to help plow what work will be done on the said land sold by the said sellers, with the consent of the said buyer, and was reserved for them, the use of the said sold concession until the day and feast of saint Martin of this year". Jean still wanted to plant, harvest and "to graze" his animals until the autumn of 1678.

    • Jean redid the division of his property in a more equitable fashion. Francois and Sebastien promised to support their parents and to support their brother Joseph until the age of 20. Jean and Sainte kept and area of the garden for themselves. Any apples from the apple trees would belong to all the heirs. When Joseph reached the age of majority (25), he would have a right to his par tof the land in the middle of the 4 arpents of his two brothers. Sebastien would inherit the northeast part and Francois the southwest. The sisters renounced their shares.

    • The Grondins owned 2 pieces of land: one with 4 arpents in frontage and another with 2 arpents located not far away. Francois and Sebastien remained the heirs. Sebastien recieved 3 arpents in frontage with buildings. Francois would own the remaining arpent, with the old house, and the 2 other non contiguous arpents. Sebastien was to give the parents 8 rools of linen and 50 livres in silver; the two brothers would provide them with food for 3 years. When this period expired, the two brothers would jointly give 14 minots of wheat annually. Francois would then pay 25 livres annually. Sebastien would remain owner of the buildings already built. But he would help Francois build for himself a house 18 "feet square" and a shed 30 by 20 feet.
