Name Jean Riquart [1] Born Abt 1647 Gender Male Immigration 25 May 1664 [1] - Jean probably arrived at Quebec aboard the Dutch ship ?i?Le Noir?/i?. He became a servant for Michel Gamelain de la Fontaine, surgeon and merchant.

Land 11 Mar 1666/67 [1] - Michel Gamelin gave Jean two arpents in frontage by two in depth located on the Ile Saint-Ignace.
Land 9 May 1671 [1] - Thomas de Lanouguere offered Jean another piece of land in exchange for his two arpents on Ile Saint-Ignace. This property also contained two arpents in frontage the island: "facing the front a small channel which separates the said island and another island which faces on the large river from one side to the said Sieur de Lanouguere and from the other side below to Michel Gamelain, with all the cleared land which is to be found there."
Sieur de Lanouguere promised to pay Jean thirty livres tournois and Jean would pay rents thereafter.
Land 13 Oct 1675 [1] - Jean acquired four arpents of frontage from Francois Lanquetot. Lanquetot only asked Jean to do some work "on his homestead du Rapide" by gathering and cutting some wood and planting corn.
Land 29 Sep 1676 [1] - Jean purchased land that measured two by forty arpents from Jean des Broyeux. The price was 100 livres. But Jean des Broyeux did not clear the land as required in the sale. On 11 June 1677, des Broyeux refunded the money on the condition that Riquart "relinquish" five arpents of land at Batiscan. Jean sold his land on the Ile Saint-Ignace on 15 April 1679 to Antoine Trottier de Ruisseaux.

Occupation 1681 [1] baker Legal Matter 22 May 1682 [1] - Notary Michel Roy dit Chatellerault drew up a four year lease agreement between Jean and Pierre Cartier. Jean leased one black and one red oxen. The fee was 10 minots of wheat each year.
Legal Matter 15 Aug 1715 LaPerade, Champlain, Quebec, Canada [1] - Jean's daughter-in-law, Marie-Louise Morneau, wife of son Jean, became involved in a conflict with the Sieur de la Perade. The seigneur's son was beating some dogs and she made a harmless remark. The Sieur de la Perade became enraged and began kicking Marie-Louise and struck her with his fists. Jean senior filed a complaint with Intendant Begon. Louis Rouer d'Artigny conducted an inquiry on 11 February 1716.
