  	Marie was a victim of the Huron, masqerading as Iroquois. They carried off Marie, her daughter Louise and three other children. The Huron were later overtaken by the French and some Algonquins at Pointe-Levis. Marie and one of the children were killed in the skirmish. Pierre Picard, grandfather of Louise, took over her care.

  	Marie, her daughter Louise, and three other children where captured at Beaupre by the Hurons. They were overtaken and surprised by the French at Point Levis. Marie and one of the children were killed during the fight that followed. Louise escaped and was cared for by her grandfather Pierre Picard.
