He came soon after 1872, in which year he build the grade for parts of the Chicago & North Western Railway line. He married Frances Janet and fathered eight children: David, Louis, Barney, Joseph, Marcell, Laura, Julia, and Lucy. David, Louis, Barney, and Marcell, known as the Nadeau Brothers, in 1880 opened up a sawmill in the area known as Section 36, Menominee County. Nadeau Brothers began to build homes; and in the year 1881, records show ......Telesphore Gauthier.....all to have been employed by Nadeau Brothers.
