    He was fron Saint-Pierre-de-la-Gravelle, today known as Montviette, canton of Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, arrondissement of Lisieux. department of Calvados, Normandy, France. The community of Montviette belongs to the dioces of Bayeux. During Guillaume's time, it belonged to the diocese of Lisieux.

    He was a witness to the marriage contract of Louis Cote and Elisabeth Langlois. Guillaume appeared as a valued servant to the father of the bride. He was about 18 years old.

    Jean Pelletier ceded "by way of cens and land rent" to Guillaume two arpents of frontal land from the edge of the first slope and boardered on one side by Martin Prevost and on the other "side joining the land of the said donor".

    Guilllaume owned 6 arpents of frontal land to the west of the seigneury of La Pocatiere. His concession was probalby bought in 1675.

    Land:
    Guilluame sold his land, including cabins and barn to Charles Cadieux dit Courville. Charles gave 500 livres in principal and 10 pins to acquire the property. Notary Rageot recorded this in his notes at Quebec. The next day it was ratified.

    Employment:
    Before notary Filion, Guillaume and Noel Pelletier signed a joint agreement with Michel Lecours, master butcher. They owed him 339 livres tournois. They would pay this amount by the first of November. But "the merchandise which the said LeCourt had just delivered to the said Lizot" would be paid separately by the present buyer.

    At Beauport, before notary Vachon, Guillaume admitted a debt of 136 livres 5 sols "for settlement of account for both the cens and the rent in arrears owned by him lent in his great need and necissity and for merchandise before this day". Guillaume immediately paid 18 livres. He mortgaged 12 minots of wheat and one hundred planks to be delivered "in the boat of the said Sieur de Saint Denis to the said place of Grande Ance".

    Notary Paul Vachon drew up the contract. Anne's parents promised as an advance "of dowry" a cow, two young steers, one hog and a small pig, a dozen napkins, four table clothes, one dozen handerchiefs and a suit of clothes according to her situation. Guillaume offered a dowry of 300 livres.
