    He was from St. Pierre, Etusson (Deux-Sevres), eveche de Lucon, Poitou. INSEE #79113 Etusson is a community situated north-west of the present Deux-Sevres.

    Legal Matter:
    Before notary Pierre Duquet , Emery agreed to borrow 40 livres tournois from Jesuit Brother Francois Boursier. He promised to repay this "on the day and feast of the next All Saint's Day". He was not able to sign the contract.

    Land:
    Emery purchased 3 aprents of frontal land at Saint-Jean, I.O. He already had three arpents of neighboring land. He spent the rest of his life on this property.

    Legal Matter:
    Emery sold a 4 year old "bown skin" cow to Jean Amiot, from Quebec. Since it could not be delivered to Amiot, the cow continued to graze on Emery's property. Emery agreed to deliver 20 pounds of butter to the new owner for three consecutive years. Blouin immediately recieved 60 livres tournois (french silver minted in Tours).

    Legal Matter:
    Emery sued Francois Dumas because a year ago he had advanced him 25 livres to fix the fireplace in his home. The mason did not show up and Emery appropriated his lime and sand. Dumas said he was required to work for M. de Villeray at the seigneurial mill. The court ordered Dumas to pay the money back and to pay the costs of the lawsuit.
