Lived and had their children in Maidstone (Essex Co.) Ontario, Canada. Michael deserted Alice when the children were quite young and went to Devil's Lake, North Dakota and bought land. Alice and the older children moved to Detroit where Annie Flannery (married to Mike Flannery) bought a saloon on Atwater street for her to manage with her children John and Bridget. Her son Michael was raised by some Maidstone neighbors (Morin) and Alice A. was raised by Elizabeth (Lizzie) Quinlan as her own. Annie (Quinlan) O'Connell was like a siser to Mimi (Alice A. Reilly). Mimi was only 12 years old when her mother died and Liz Quinlan was like a mother to her.
