    Mace "contracted for the masonry and carpentry of the Chateau Saint-Louis in Quebec, and of the church in this town".

    Occupation:
    Mace was a business partner of the three Gagnon brothers, Mathurin, Jean and Pierre. They opened a shop on the Rue Saint-Pierre in the lower town that measured sixty by twenty-four feet. The business was sold on 9 October 1668 to Pierre Pellerin.

    Land:
    Mace obtained 6 arpents in frontage by 126 in depth.

    Occupation:
    Mace was a partner with the Gagnon. They had a shop in the port area that measured 80 feet in length. The place was rented to Jean Garos, merchant from La Rochelle, for 90 livres. Mace later sold his share of the house to Louis Dupouty, sieur de Saint-Louis, for 600 livres.

    Land:
    Olivier Letardif granted a fief to Mace in the village of Chateau-Richer. The plot of land measured 30 feet long by 20 feet wide. Mace was required to build a house on the property within two years. He sold this property which included a house, 24 by 20 feet, with a cellar and loft, on 8 February 1669 to David Letourneau for 700 livres.

    Mace bought the land belonging to his sister-in-law, Marie Tavernier, located at Sault-a-la-Puce. The 9 arpents of land (3 arpents of frontage), with house, barn and poultry yard was given to his sons Pierre and Alexis. The cost was 1000 livres, to be paid in four installments.

    Guardianship:
    After the death of his son Pierre, Mace became guardian of his grandson Augustin. During the inventory of Pierre's estate, Mace learned that Pierre had sold his land on 4 December 1676 to Mgr de Laval. On 30 January 1686, Mace bought back the land belonging to Pierre so that he could pass it on to Augustin.
