    When Marin Boucher ceded land to Jean in 1656, he also gave land to his son Jean-Galleran. In order for Jean-Galleran to get to his property he had to cross that of Jean Plante which created some problems. It was concluded that Jean-Galleran could "come and go by plow and cart above the remainder of their concessions with as little disturbance as will be possible".

    Jean and Francoise put their son Francois in charge "of the care and feeding of the parents and also of Louise and Joseph", still minors. Francois agreed to house them, pay rents, pay off debts, and have prayer said for their souls after their deaths.
