The Bourgery family lived on property located on the southwest side of Rue Saint-Pierre. The property consisted of 10 toises of frontage by 20 in depth. Their neighbors were Guillaume Pepin, Philippe Estienne, Pierre Couc dit Fleur-de-Coignac and Alexandre Raoul. The lot orginally (20 troises) belonged to Gilles Trotier but he did not build on it so the southwest half was conceded to Jean Baptiste Bourgery on 7 October 1655. By 1668, a house, yard and garden were built.

    Legal Matter:
Francois Le Maistre went before the court and asked for compensation from Baptiste for insults. Witnesses stated that the insults came from both sides and Le Maistre was ordered to pay the court costs for having begun the proceedings. Both were ordered to speak no evil of each other in the future.

    Legal Matter:
Baptiste brought Etienne de Lafond to court, asking for damages for "mistreatment done to his son" and for having killed a pig. Lafond stated he was insulted by Baptiste's son and that he chastised him reasonably and legitmately. He denied killing the pig, but admitted to injuring it.
